As you know, the latihan kedjiwaan of Subud is truly a gift from the One Almighty God to you all, who are living in an age full of strangeness, beauty, unrest, difficulties and troubles. So the latihan kedjiwaan of Subud is clearly a way for you all to be able to find your inner-selves, which can bring peace, calmness, and awareness of the inner-feeling.

Remembering Ruslan Moore

Ruslan Moore, founder of Al-Baz publishing, passed away earlier this week. A memorial service and latihan were held on Wednesday, October 30. Godspeed, dear brother.

Committee Councilor's Update

From Sonya Shooshan, Committee Councilor:

I attended the first Zone 7 meeting via Zoom, along with our chair Philip Lindstrom and Kejiwaan Councilors Rashidah Pollard and Morris McClellan.  It was wonderful to meet ourcounterparts from Canada, Mexico, Caribbean/Cuba, and Surinam.  Our own Rosetta Narvaez, Zone 7 representative, reported that the World Subud Council is getting to know each other and meeting monthly. SICA International is seeking an Area 3 representative and an administrator.  Please contact me sshooshan@subudusa.org for further information.

Subud Portugal was chosen to host the next World Congress. Rifka Several, WSA Chair, reports on a site visit below:

“At the Kalimantan World Congress, we all felt the positive energy in the testing of Subud Portugal to host the 17th World Congress. However, I was left with questions about the proposed site in Fatima. 

Last week I attended a site tour which included International Helpers, WSA Deputy Chair Hannah deRoo, International Subud Committee Chair Arifin Konrad, Subud Youth Association International co-chair Rodriguo Rogers, Denise Andrade (Chair of Subud Portugal), Salomon Guerin (Committee Councilor for Subud Spain) along with other members of Subud Portugaland Subud Spain. Many thanks to our visit and tour hosts, Hamid (Subud Portugal Committee Councilor) and Isti de Silva.”
